Marcus cements his control over Bernard before returning home to see how Corey and his new pet pup, Auggie, have been getting along in his absence.
Hal is an android. He has faithfully served the Grand Archives for many years and somehow managed to develop a consciousness in that time. Now that the Grand Archivist is retiring, however, things are changing and he suddenly finds himself in a situation he never would have seen coming.
A last-ditched attempt to wrest Clay from Briar’s control ends in disaster and instead of pulling Clay out of the muck, Tom ends up getting dragged down with him.
