Vayne reminds Edric that he already belongs to Master Azzagg and teaches the squire that it is all too easy to get too big for one’s breeches. When all is said and done, Vayne turns his attention upward—it’s almost time to strike at the top of the Radiant Order.
Now that Galad is literally (and figuratively) under Vayne’s heel, Vayne ropes in the man’s squire to keep him there and in the process learns what Edric’s been saying about him to the other novices.
Vayne wraps up Brother Galad’s training, making sure that he never forgets his rightful place at the foot of their soon-to-be hellborn overlords.
