Vayne pays a visit to the Radiant Order’s Runemaster in order to learn a thing or two about runelore and how to take down the Order’s wards.
Vayne tells the truth and is surprised to find that Arthur’s faith is far more fragile than he anticipated.
Vayne tells Arthur of a possible treatment, one that will be more pleasant than Arthur can even begin to imagine.
Vayne helps Arthur with his problem, diagnoses the paladin’s “condition” and offers him the hope of a treatment—if not a cure.
Edric punishes Vayne for his inadvertent lie and sends him on a humiliating and perilous trip back to his chambers. After breakfast, Vayne pays a visit to an old friend who’s having a problem.
Vayne wraps up the lesson with the kitchen staff and ends up on his hands and knees for Awain. On his way back to his chambers, he has a run-in with Edric that takes a rather unexpected turn.
